GreenSpark Solar and partners Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure (KSI) celebrated 8 MWs of new solar energy with a ribbon cutting in Dix, NY on October 6th, 2021. The ceremony marked the completion of a 5 MW array in Dix, NY and another 3 MW project nearby in Orange, NY.
The Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers’ 874kW project consists of 2,184 bifacial solar panels mounted on twelve canopies covering Maryknoll’s two parking lots. Ecogy Energy is the project developer, financier and owner-operator, and hired GreenSpark to provide the construction & installation services. The project is funded in part by the NY-Sun program.The installation is the largest solar canopy installation in Westchester County and the first community solar project in the Town of Ossining. GreenSpark Solar was hired for the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction of this 335kW solar array and integrated 392 kWh energy storage project on the rooftop of the Goergen Athletic Center at the University of Rochester’s River Campus. The project offsets the energy needs of the Center for Energy and Environment net-zero office building. Mark IV Enterprises, one of the largest locally-based real estate developers and property management firms in the Greater Rochester area, hired GreenSpark for their 132.7 kW solar array completed in 2019.
