From February 17th to 21st, GreenSpark Solar will close down operations for our 3rd annual Wellness Week—an intentional, company-wide break designed to combat burnout and support mental well-being. By enacting a collective leave, we create space for our team to rest, recharge, and return energized. The impact of climate change continues to challenge rural and agricultural businesses, but the Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) offers a significant opportunity to embrace renewable energy while reducing costs. Thanks to the Inflation Reduction Act and other federal and state incentives, eligible businesses can save up to 85% of the project costs for installing solar energy systems.
GreenSpark Solar is proud to be named one of New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA)’s 2024 Gold Quality Solar Installers. NYSERDA is a trusted source for “objective information and analysis, innovative programs, technical expertise, and support to help New Yorkers increase energy efficiency, save money, use renewable energy, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. A public benefit corporation, NYSERDA has been advancing energy solutions and working to protect the environment since 1975." Funding through REAP is an important step that rural businesses of all industries can take this year to protect themselves against unpredictable rate hikes, all while saving money. With additional state and federal incentives, eligible businesses can save up to 100% of the project cost if they switch to solar in 2024. With solar energy, farms and businesses can protect themselves against unpredictable rate hikes, all while saving money and taking an important step toward energy independence and resiliency.
From February 19th to February 23rd, GreenSpark Solar is closing operations to take an organization-wide break to celebrate its 2nd annual Wellness Week. Wellness Week aims to combat burnout and promote mental wellness by enacting a collective company leave. Our Executive Director of Communications, Meaghann Schulte, spoke at a DisruptHR conference in May about the why behind leadership's intentional decision to shut down for one week in February 2023 and why we'll do it again this year, from February 19th through February 23rd, 2024.
The 2023 National Human Resource Association Rising Star Award honors the folks working to elevate and strengthen their organizations through innovative ideas that make a positive impact within the HR, DEI, and local communities in which they live. GreenSpark Solar is proud to announce that our People Department Director, Ciera Caldwell, was named to this list of HR professionals in Rochester.
