Island of Tangier, GreenSpark Commercial Solar GreenSpark built six solar arrays for the Island of Tangier, VA totaling 72kW. The Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals and Energy (DMME) funded the island’s renewable energy project with an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) grant. The installation sites included the police station, town office, water waste treatment facility, fire station. The installation was appropriately documented and submitted to all required inspections prior to commissioning.
