The impact of climate change has never been more prevalent than right now. From February 19th to February 23rd, GreenSpark Solar is closing operations to take an organization-wide break to celebrate its 2nd annual Wellness Week. Wellness Week aims to combat burnout and promote mental wellness by enacting a collective company leave. New York, NY, February 6, 2024 – CVE North America (CVE), in partnership with GreenSpark Solar (GreenSpark), announces the operational launch of a 5.6 megawatt (MW) community solar project in Wheatfield, NY. This project is the first to achieve operational status of a five-project community solar portfolio in construction by CVE and GreenSpark. This key milestone marks a significant stride in bringing equitable and sustainable energy solutions to New York State to support its renewable energy initiatives.
GreenSpark will be speaking at the Gates Public Library to share our expertise on solar and the benefits of using this renewable energy source.
Our GreenSpark staff will be attending the Annual ETHIE Award Celebration. This red carpet event is run by the Rochester Area Business Ethics Foundation and celebrates ethical business cultures. We are excited to celebrate the honorees and be further encouraged by our community to keep working hard to better the world, one solar installation at a time.
GreenSpark Solar was the General Contractor for this 7.412 MW solar project built in the town of Olean, a small city near the Pennsylvania border. GreenSpark's responsibility included Construction Management as well as the module and ballasted racking installation and oversight, and the procurement of racking. The Solean project utilized a re-mediated brownfield and helps to power the St. Bonaventure campus as well as the Olean General Hospital. This project is owned long-term by Kenyon Energy. Participants will race or walk up 19 floors of stairs in First Federal Plaza to raise awareness and funds for the American Lung Association's mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.
