Global electric vehicle (EV) sales increased by more than 30% in 2023, and EVs continue to rise in popularity. Available incentives and lower maintenance costs are two reasons people choose electric, with economic benefits from the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) Drive Clean Rebate and a federal tax benefit of $7,500 for eligible cars. ROC the Block employment fairs bring employers and residents together in city neighborhoods together in a fun, localized outdoor setting patterned after a city block party. In addition to the traditional opportunities for residents to meet directly with employers and career-advancement organizations, the events will feature DJs, refreshments and other activities.
