GreenSpark Solar CEO, Kevin Schulte, Elected for a Second Term on the NYSEIA Board of Directors
Breaking News! Kevin Schulte, CEO of GreenSpark Solar, was voted for a second term on the New York Solar Energy Industries Association (NYSEIA) Board of Directors. NYSEIA is the only statewide association committed to advancing solar energy in New York State. The board consists of thirteen board members who represent several divisions of the solar industry and strive to achieve long-term, impactful, and sustainable growth.
With over 21 years of industry experience as a thought leader and policy expert in the renewable energy space, Kevin is actively involved in crafting legislation that strengthens the solar industry and educating stakeholders about the climate crisis and solutions. He was involved in developing one of the most comprehensive pieces of climate legislation in our nation’s history, the Inflation Reduction Act. Kevin also serves on the board of Amicus Solar Cooperative, a member-owner purchasing cooperative of over 70 independent, values-driven solar energy companies from all 50 states and US territories. Under his helm, GreenSpark has installed over 200 MWs of solar and was recently named the #1 fastest-growing company in the Greater Rochester and Finger Lakes region for the second time in the company’s history.
Now, Kevin will work within NYSEIA to spark change in the clean energy industry and advocate for the advancement of equitable energy policy. We look forward to the evolution his contributions will bring to help strengthen the industry and grow the GreenSpark mission of providing local, clean, cost-effective energy for the Greater Rochester region and beyond.
