Three New Solar Arrays in Central New York Add 22.5 MW to New York State Grid
GreenSpark is proud to have partnered with Novis Renewables, LLC to add 22.5 MW of solar capacity to the New York State grid. The project portfolio includes three 7.5 MW solar arrays owned by Novis Renewables, LLC, with GreenSpark as the primary engineering, procurement, and construction service provider. The recent projects build upon Novis’ two existing arrays for a total of 37.5 MWs of renewable energy installed by GreenSpark. The solar arrays span several locations throughout New York State, including Manlius, Green Lakes, and Whitestown, NY.
“Each 7.5 MW project is expected to produce around 9 GWh of clean electricity annually. All projects have been conceived with a strong community engagement approach. For the first 25 years of operation, revenues from the three projects will be generated and contracted via the Value of Distributed Energy Resources (VDER) community solar program, which allows commercial and residential subscribers to utilize bill credits generated by the project. These bill credits are allocated towards subscribers’ electricity bill, typically lowering monthly electricity costs by around 10%.” (Solar Builder Mag, 2022)
