This 645.84kW solar array for the Village of Brockport offsets the electricity needs of multiple buildings, including Seymour Library, three fire stations, the visitor center, Department of Public Works, municipal offices, the Police Station, and streetlights. GreenSpark installed the solar array on a capped landfill in 2019. The project is owned by Kendall Sustainable Infrastructure, with the Village of Brockport utilizing a solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) to save the municipality more than $300,000 over the 25-year term.
For the calendar year 2022 alone, this PPA project and structure resulted in a net credits/savings of $31,000, as reported by the Village of Brockport Treasurer.
