We are seeking a Professional Engineer to join our Design and Engineering team who will oversee the work of a small team of PV Designers in Electrical Engineering methods and principles. This candidate will be responsible for developing, reviewing, updating, modifying, and approving electrical design plans. The Senior Electrical Engineer will also contribute to the department by developing company practices in Design Quality Control & Assurance, and provide engineering support for the new and existing electrical/power systems of varying size and complexity. 

The essential functions of this role are:

• Engage with PV Designers and prospective Electrical Engineers on best design practices. 

• Provide education on the use of Power Systems Software and prepare studies for Arc Flash, Short Circuit, Duct Bank Thermal, etc. 

• Collaborate with clients and other engineers to ensure projects are completed to specifications. 

• Maintain and improve existing engineering processes. 

• Participate in conferences, networking events, and learning opportunities.

• Assist Operations and Maintenance teams in performing diagnostics, and troubleshooting existing equipment. 

• Perform research in the interests of continuous improvement and new product deployment. 

• Produce quality engineering plans, studies, and specifications while ensuring compliance with department, project, company, utility, regional electrical entity, and industry requirements and standards.
